• Installation - download / obtain installation media, installation process, multiple instances on the server, differences in Windows installation vs. Linux
• Initial server configuration - configuration, Dynamic Server Variables, SQL modes, Log files, Status files
• MySQL clients - overview, mysql client, mysqladmin, third-party APIs
• Databases - structure, administration, database configuration, system databases
• Working with storage - MyISAM, InnoDB and MEMORY Storage Engines, differences and choosing the right one
• Table maintenance - maintenance, SQL statements, tools, differences according to the repository
• User accounts - create, manage, delete, set permissions, log users
• Server security - access levels, security risks, client access control
